Does the person I call need Hyallo or an internet connection?
No. You call their regular landline or mobile number and they answer it like any other call. They don't need an app, a smartphone or internet.
How much does an international call cost?
You pay per minute, by destination, from $0.02/min, and you see the exact rate before you dial. Calls are billed per started minute, only while connected: unanswered calls are free, and there is no monthly fee or connection fee.
Is the first call really free?
Yes. New accounts get a free first call of up to 1 minute, with no credit card, to any destination that costs up to $0.50/min.
Do my credits expire?
No. Your credit stays in your account until you use it.
Can the people I call see my number?
You can verify your own phone number and show it as the caller ID, so the people you call recognize who is calling.
Is Hyallo a replacement for Skype credit?
Yes, for calling phones. Skype shut down in May 2025, and with it the SkypeOut credit people used to call landlines and mobiles abroad. Hyallo does the same from the browser, paying per minute. It makes outbound calls only: it doesn't give you a number to receive calls, and it doesn't send SMS.
